About Us
The Conservation Campaign (TCC) is the only national organization that focuses solely on political action to gain public funding for conservation funding. Our role is to provide practical and operational support for local and statewide voter campaigns and legislative lobbying efforts. In this way, we help towns, cities, counties, special districts and states create the funding they need to preserve and enhance their own unique landscapes, whether it is wilderness and natural areas, urban parks and playgrounds, or working forests and farmlands. We are completely bipartisan and work cooperatively with elected officials, along with farmers and ranchers, the business community, developers and realtors, and many other groups.
The Conservation Campaign was established in 2000 by The Trust for Public Land (TPL), a national land conservation organization, as its 501(c)(4) nonprofit partner in lobbying and ballot measure campaigns. Most often, TCC and TPL work as a team with local campaign leaders, following a model that has proven to be highly successful in creating public funding for conservation.
