Cache County is a special place

This November, Cache County voters will be asked to approve a measure to protect its air and water quality, wildlife habitat, scenic views and vistas and working farms and ranches, and to preserve our quality of life. This measure would raise $10 million to be spent on these important priorities.

Protecting our natural areas is a wise investment

By 2020 Cache County's population is expected to double. Each day, congestion increases, more pollution keeps our children indoors, and more natural places are lost. By approving this bond measure, Cache residents have a chance to make a small investment now to safeguard our future.

Cache County will use the funds, recommended by an independent citizen advisory committee and reviewed in annual audits, for a variety of purposes, including:

Preserving lands that protect our air quality and our water resources;

  • Preserving Cache County's working farms and ranches;
  • Protecting wildlife habitat;
  • Safeguarding our scenic views and vistas;
  • Preserving land along streams and rivers, including the Bear River;
  • Acquiring land for walking, hiking and biking trials;
  • Providing additional opportunities for outdoor recreation.
